Our Principal’s
Thomas M. Simmons
Director BIM & Business Development
Simmons has extensive experience in technology for building design, project management and construction. Through his work with architects, engineers, contractors and sub-contractors he has a broad understanding of BIM technology with specific emphasis on its use to inform design decisions, increase efficiency in documents, produce more accurate cost estimates and facilitate construction coordination through a Virtual Design and Construction process.
As a leader in strategies for BIM and VDC implementation, Simmons has worked with small, medium and large business, including Anshen + Allen / Stantec, Swinerton Builders, The Weitz Company, Quattrocchi Kwok Architects, Studios Architecture, and PCL Construction.
Simmons was on the AIACC IPD Technology Task Force and part of the steering committee that developed the AIA IPD Guide. He has been an instructor, lecturer and speaker on BIM and related topics. Simmons has a Masters of Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley and a Bachelor of Environmental Design, Texas A&M University.
Tracie A. Simmons

For the past several years Tracie has been leading the development of continuing education programs for the AEC Industry. She works with industry and topical experts to explore the vision as well as the practical aspects of building projects.
She is a published writer and frequently blogs about industry issues and education programs. She was previously Vice President at Ketchum and has a B.A. in Journalism from San Diego State University.
